Ashland, OR

Well - this was a small but pleasant distraction from whatever ails me.  We stopped in Redding and picked up Kenny and Treda.  She is always so welcoming to her in-laws.  I'm very lucky to have her as a daughter.  The ride to Ashland gave us a chance to chat and catch up on everything.  Our rooms were very comfortable, but alas, our ultimate goal was to view live entertainment.  So, we saw Henry IV, Part 1 the first evening.  It was a little hard to hear a couple of the speakers, but we got the gist and only nodded off a couple of times.  The next day we saw Throne of Blood.  Again, it was a head nodder.  There were parts though that were interesting and unique.  They had a long narrow screen above the stage which they used for translation from Japanese to English, and projected scenery.  Basically, the story line was MacBeth set in Japan.  Next time we'll try to include something a little lighter like a comedy possibly.  The best part was the weather.  It was absolutely beautiful.  My skin was happy and my eyes caught the passing clouds in many pleasing forms.  What more could a person ask for.
